Description

The Director of Marketing, Outreach and Communications is charged with overseeing the planning and development of marketing strategies, station communications, and outreach events and activities. 



Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Works with CEO and strategic planner to develop and execute a station-wide marketing strategy. 
  2. Coordinates all marketing efforts for content, programming, and proof-of-performance/image building including television, print, digital, and any new and emerging platforms. 
  3. Oversees program guide creation, editing, layout, and printing, including ensuring contractual arrangements are made for publication and distribution 
  4. Oversees web content development and serves as primary contact with vendors to ensure accuracy of publications and promotions materials 
  5. Oversees all communications including press releases, social media posts, website, and promotional materials. Acts as liaison between the station and media outlets. 
  6. Oversees database management of email and physical addresses of key constituents and influencers. 
  7. Supervises marketing staff. 
  8. Work collaboratively with the station's management team in the implementation of strategic communication and marketing plans. 
  9. Connect with PBS national and local station staff to learn about new initiatives and opportunities. 
  10. Develop and manage annual budget for marketing and communications. 
  11. Oversee all brand development and implementation efforts for the station to build brand awareness and enhance the image of Wyoming PBS and WY PBS programming across the state. 
  12. Work with producers and graphic artist for all programming brand development and implementation. 
  13. Oversee the station's social and digital media communications strategies. 
  14. Provide leadership, management, and supervision for the Marketing and Outreach Department, including responsibilities relating to project assignments and deadlines as well as personnel administration. 
  15. Participate in local, state, regional, and national activities to promote Wyoming PBS and WY PBS content. 
  16. Other duties as assigned.
