Position Highlights
ICBC’s Customer Experience and Public Affairs division is seeking a Senior Manager Marketing & Public Relations. This role will lead the development and execution of a corporate-wide external communications strategy aligned to ICBC’s brand vision. Responsibilities include overseeing media relations, creative services, social media, and marketing and communications planning teams to enhance public perception of the organization.
This hybrid role is based in North Vancouver, with some travel for key meetings.
Position Requirements
You’re a marketing and communications leader with proven experience in improving brand perception.
In this role, you’ll ensure the alignment and integration between marketing and communications teams so that ICBC is speaking in one voice across owned, earned and paid channels.
You’re results oriented, driven to produce high-quality, social first campaigns and constantly measuring performance for continuous improvement.
You also have experience directing media relations and issues management, including leading crisis communications. You have established relationships with key media and government communications staff.
You’ll oversee ICBC’s brand governance, including standards and manage relationships with brand and creative, media services, and social media agencies. Along with the Director, you will provide strategic advice to executives and the board on brand perception and strategy.
You are an experienced leader in guiding and motivating staff to ensure an engaged, high-performing team. You have a relevant undergraduate degree and at least 10 years of senior-level experience working in crown corporation, government, or complex multi-stakeholder organization. You have at least 5 years’ experience managing a team or leaders or senior staff.

Work arrangements defined:
Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
