Senior Account Executive, Category Specialist - Premion (A TEGNA Company)
Premion, a division of TEGNA, is a market-leading OTT/CTV advertising solution trusted by thousands of local, regional, and national advertisers. Premion delivers premium inventory from 125+ leading TV and media brands including Discovery Networks, Viacom, AMC, NBC, FOX, MLB.TV, FuboTV, Tubi, and more. Recognized for innovation and excellence in OTT/CTV by TechLeadership, Gabbcon, and Cynopsis, Premion is known for delivering brand-safe premium content, transparent reporting, and measurable outcomes.
We are seeking a Senior Account Executive, Category Specialist to join our national sales team. This individual will focus on expanding strategic category growth by nurturing existing partnerships and developing new business within key verticals. They will serve as a category expert, engaging agencies, brand partners, and alliance/association partners, and representing Premion at industry conferences and trade events.
This role is an individual contributor position and reports to the Director of Sales.
Key Responsibilities
Category & Partnership Growth:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue within designated category vertical(s).
- Maintain and deepen relationships with existing partners, industry groups, associations, and category networks.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across agencies and client direct accounts.
- Serve as the primary sales point of contact for category initiatives, partner programs, and co-marketing efforts.
Sales Execution:
- Lead consultative sales conversations, leveraging OTT/CTV insights, audience data, market trends, and attribution tools.
- Prepare and deliver compelling client presentations, proposals, and category-specific pitch narratives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Marketing, Sales Operations, Product, and Ad Operations to support campaign success and client satisfaction.
Industry & Event Engagement:
- Represent Premion at industry conferences, trade shows, and category partner events.
- Host and support educational sessions, partner panels, and thought leadership engagements.
- Serve as a subject-matter resource on category-specific trends, challenges, and buyer motivations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of face to face sales, preferably in digital media, premium video, or OTT/CTV sales experience.
- Proven experience developing new business and growing strategic accounts.
- Strong relationship-building skills with agencies and/or client direct decision makers.
- Ability to communicate value, outcomes, audience data, and attribution methodologies with clarity.
- High comfort level presenting and engaging in front of industry groups and executive-level buyers.
- Self-starter mindset with strong organizational and pipeline management discipline.
- Ability to travel 20-30% for partner meetings and trade events.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
