The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Communications Officer will be responsible for promoting our activities via digital channels and our printed magazine, ASSOCIATIONS. This will revolve heavily around email campaigns and website content, often to promote our upcoming conferences.
Tasks will include:
Managing our marketing schedule
Producing content for our magazine, published twice per year
Graphic design of our surveys
Putting together email campaigns
Writing copy for advertising
Maintaining and updating website content including our events
Managing social media
Attending occasional events and external meetings
We’re looking for someone with strong Adobe InDesign skills who loves turning reports into visually engaging, polished pieces. If layout, design, and attention to detail are your thing, we’d love to hear from you.
This role would suit a new graduate or someone with a few years of experience. Full training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity to gain significant experience in the activities of a membership organisation that works closely with the not-for-profit sector.
About the candidate
The successful candidate will be someone who:
An Australian citizen or permanent resident with no work restrictions
Is self-motivated with great attention to detail
Is able to establish priorities, manage time and work collaboratively with others
Has excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Is fluent in English
Has a Bachelor degree or higher, preferably in marketing or events
Is adept with a range of computer applications
Enjoys working in a close-knit team
Flexibility of hours is negotiable for the right candidate.

This is a full time role. All equipment will be provided. Hybrid working options are available one day a week once training period and probation have been passed.
Our office is located in Artarmon on Sydney's North Shore, close to Artarmon train station.
