She has a proven eye for emerging and established talent and is deeply rooted in the theater from having attended New York based Stagedoor Manor as a teen. In 2003 when she started her firm, the company quickly found a niche with the US and International theatrically trained actor currently performing either on stage, or doing film and television. It started with doing notable TONY award campaigns for such actors as Laura Bell Bundy (“Legally Blonde”), Brian d’Arcy James (“Something Rotten”), Gavin Creel (“Hair”), and Tamara Tunie (“Spring Awakening”) and Viola Davis’ off- Broadway campaign for “Intimate Apparel” as well as working with Ari Graynor and Zoe Lister Jones on “Little Dog Laughed,” Eamonn Walker and Tamara Tunie (“Julius Caesar”) and representing esteemed playwright Theresa Rebeck and director Kenny Leon among others.
However, as more and more theater talent wanted to cross over into film and television, Brownstein was able to evolve her practice into offering into strategically generated industry cross-over campaigns. She used her experience, critical thinking and insight to develop bi-coastal media strategies that offered her clients well defined, smartly crafted campaigns that resulted in important industry and consumer placements that moved the needle in their careers. At the time she represented actors on shows such as ‘Law and Order SVU,” “Ugly Betty,” “The Wire,” and “Fringe.”
