Investor Relations Associate - Washington DCOverview:
A well-established alternative investment manager is seeking a junior Investor Relations Associate to join its growing team. This is a highly execution-focused role working closely with both Investor Relations and Business Development, supporting fundraising efforts and ongoing investor communication across multiple funds.
This position is ideal for someone 2+ years of experience who is looking to gain hands-on exposure to investor relations while working directly with senior team members.
The Investor Relations Associate will be responsible for:
- Manage the investor inbox and serve as a first point of contact for inbound investor requests
- Support the Business Development team on fundraising efforts and prospective investor outreach
- Assist in preparing and distributing investor materials, including fund decks, quarterly updates, and other communications
- Help coordinate investor webinars, calls, and meetings with both prospective and existing clients
- Ensure all investor materials are current, accurate, and consistently maintained
- Support ongoing communication with existing investors across multiple funds
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of investor information
- Assist with general IR operations and administrative processes to support a high-volume workflow
The Investor Relations Associate should have:
- 1-4 years of professional experience
- Background in finance, accounting, private equity, investments, client services or a related field
- Exposure to asset management, private equity, credit, or wealth management is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a client-service-oriented mindset
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Comfortable in a repetitive, execution-driven role with high volume of requests
- Ability to work in-office and collaborate closely with a team
