Description
The Marketing Communications Coordinator for Enrollment Management serves as a liaison between the Office of Enrollment Management and Student Success and the Office of Communications & Marketing, leading the development and implementation of communications strategies to support student recruitment, retention, and success. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to collaboration and clear communication, and the ability to proactively respond to a changing landscape of student-focused communication through strong writing skills, digital fluency, and creative strategies. This position is designed to support the promotion of the university's brand, cultivate strong enrollment pipelines, and support initiatives that foster student engagement, persistence, and achievement.
Key Responsibilities
Enrollment Campaign Development
- Design and manage integrated marketing campaigns that support undergraduate, graduate, and transfer student enrollment, collaborating with relevant campus departments and third-party partners as needed.
- Develop and maintain consistent and compelling messaging that highlights academic programs, student achievement, support services, and campus life.
- Support brand strategy and storytelling initiatives that reflect the University’s mission, values, and people.
- Align with University brand management initiatives.
Enrollment Communications Management
- Oversee communication flows and content strategies within the university’s CRM (Slate) and student engagement platforms.
- Implement personalized communications that guide prospective students from inquiry through enrollment, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience.
- Design targeted communications for student segments (e.g., first-generation, adult learners, military-affiliated) to support inclusive enrollment practices.
Support for Student Success Initiatives
- Collaborate with relevant departments to develop, implement, and track marketing and communication strategies that promote:
- Orientation and first-year experience programs
- Academic advising and tutoring services
- Mental health and student wellness resources
- Career readiness and internship opportunities
- Develop campaigns that increase student awareness of support services and drive participation in student success programs.
- Create communications that reinforce belonging, campus engagement, and academic persistence across the student lifecycle.
- Manage social media accounts related to Enrollment Management & Student Success.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with the University Office of Communications and Marketing and other university departments to ensure message alignment and shared institutional goals.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Enrollment Management departments to support holistic student engagement.
- Serve on University committees and councils as assigned and participate in regularly scheduled meetings.
Data-Informed Strategy and Reporting
- Use analytics and KPIs to assess campaign effectiveness across all platforms and identify opportunities to strengthen enrollment and retention.
- Monitor audience engagement metrics and adapt strategies to improve reach, conversion, and impact.
- Provide regular performance reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Higher Education, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of progressive professional experience in marketing, communications, or enrollment management.
- Experience creating and managing successful communications strategies tied to enrollment and/or student success outcomes.
- Excellent project management, writing, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Desired:
- Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- Experience working directly with student success or retention-focused teams in a higher education setting.
- Knowledge of inclusive communication practices and student engagement frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in CRM tools, email marketing, social media management, and content strategy.
FLSA: Exempt
