Great cities don't just deliver services. They build trust, spark participation and create a sense of belonging. As Team Leader Marketing and Communications, you'll lead the team responsible for how the City of Launceston communicates with residents, visitors, businesses and stakeholders.
Reporting to the Senior Leader Stakeholder Experience, you'll provide strategic leadership across Council's marketing, communications, engagement, brand, digital and internal communications functions. You'll lead a team of nine specialists and provide trusted advice that helps Council communicate clearly, build trust and support informed decision-making.

Requirements
Key responsibilities of this position include:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of marketing, communications and engagement specialists
- Set the strategic direction for integrated marketing, communications and engagement across Council
- Provide expert advice on communication, engagement and reputation matters across the organisation
About You
We are looking for someone who demonstrates, through behaviour, an alignment and an understanding of Our Values and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- A relevant tertiary qualification, with substantial experience leading marketing, communications or engagement functions in a complex organisation
- Proven experience leading senior specialists and integrating communications, media and engagement activity
- Demonstrated capability developing and delivering integrated marketing and communications strategies, with a strong understanding of branding and digital media
