Selby Jennings is partnering with a well-established private credit manager with approximately €20bn+ in assets under management and a global institutional investor base. The firm operates across a range of credit strategies and has built a strong reputation within the European private markets landscape.The role
Our client is seeking to hire a VP / Principal-level Investor Relations professional to join their London office. This position sits firmly within the client servicing and project management function and is not a fundraising role.
The successful candidate will play a central role in delivering high-quality investor-related output, coordinating complex cross-functional processes and acting as a key point of contact for institutional clients globally. The role will also involve oversight of junior team members and offers strong visibility across senior stakeholders within the business.
Key responsibilities
Investor servicing and client interaction
- Support relationships with a global base of institutional investors including pensions, insurers, sovereign wealth funds and consultants
- Act as a key point of contact for investor queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Prepare for investor meetings, including development of materials, briefing notes and follow-up actions
Project management and execution
- Lead execution of DDQs, RFIs, RFPs and ad-hoc investor requests, coordinating inputs from multiple internal stakeholders
- Manage timelines and ensure all deliverables are produced to a consistently high standard
- Maintain and enhance internal content libraries, data processes and approval workflows
- Identify and implement process improvements across reporting and investor delivery workflows
Investor reporting and materials
- Oversee quarterly and ad-hoc investor reporting cycles
- Coordinate input from investment, finance, operations and legal teams to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Support the ongoing development and refinement of investor materials
Internal stakeholder management
- Partner closely with investment professionals and internal teams to align on messaging and deliverables
- Act as a central coordination point for cross-functional projects impacting the investor base
Team leadership
- Provide oversight and mentorship to junior team members
- Allocate workflow and ensure quality control across outputs
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Investor Relations function
Candidate profile
Experience
- Experience within Investor Relations, Client Service or Product Specialist roles within alternative asset management
- Direct experience within private credit is essential
- Candidates must currently be working at a private credit manager
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder deliverables in a deadline-driven environment
Technical knowledge
- Strong understanding of private credit strategies, fund structures and investor reporting
- Familiarity with institutional due diligence processes
Skillset
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate technical content for institutional investors
- High attention to detail and ownership mindset
- Ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and global clients

This is a non-fundraising role with a clear focus on execution, delivery and client servicing. It offers significant exposure to global institutional investors and provides the opportunity to operate at the centre of the firm's investor relations function, contributing to both process improvement and team development.
